About Clipr.
Born from frustration. Built on experience.
Clipr. is a Dutch brand for grooming supplies: professional dog clippers, grooming shears, grooming tables, brushes and combs, pet dryers and everything that goes with them. We are part of Macrovet, the coat care specialist with a passion for service and expertise.
Why we started doing it ourselves
At Macrovet, we have been selling, maintaining, and repairing clippers from almost every brand for years. That means we know them all inside out. We see what breaks, what wears out, what groomers struggle with, and what makes them happy.
We also saw something else: established brands that are rigid, charge high prices, and offer poor warranty when problems arise. At some point, we had enough of that.
Our requirements
With everything we had learned in the workshop, we started looking for a manufacturer who could build what we envisioned. The requirements were set before we started our search:
- a strong motor that lasts a long time
- simple electronics, no unnecessary complexity
- a robust and simple drive system
- as light as possible in the hand
- an interchangeable battery system
- the Snap-On system for clipper Blades, so you choose the right Blade for each coat type
- all parts replaceable, so we can always repair
- quality with which we confidently dare to give a 3-year no-nonsense warranty
We found that manufacturer. Together, we assembled component by component until we had what we wanted: the Clipr Ultimate. The first generation was dark grey, the newest generation is green.
The assortment is growing
In addition to the Ultimate, we developed the Clipr MiniTrim, an extensive range of clipper Blades and attachment combs, and a pet dryer. For the shears, we found a different manufacturer: the most common models, all made from the best Japanese steel, all easy to sharpen and at a fair price.
Our assortment is still expanding, also with products from partners we trust ourselves.
Our promise
Every product we sell must be the best deal you can make. For the professional groomer, for those just starting out, for the breeder and show handler, and for the owner who wants to keep their dog tidy at home. No elaborate story, just equipment that works, a warranty that's right, and a workshop that answers when something is wrong.
